Graduated in Dental Medicine in 2001 at the Instituto Superior de Ciências de Saúde Egas Moniz, João began his post-graduate training in orthodontics at an early age, to which he dedicated himself exclusively at the AM SMILING clinic. Between 2002 and 2004, he completed various courses, obtaining his first certificate to work with Invisalign® aligners in 2003. In 2005, João enrolled at Dentistry University (USA) and attended another postgraduate course in Orthodontics for two years.

Taking into consideration the constant development and learning that the area requires, in combination with his clinical practice João attends several courses related to Fixed Orthodontics, especially the DAMON self-ligating system, as well as removable orthodontics with the Invisalign® aligner system.

A perfectionist and a very organized person, João dedicates himself body and soul to each patient who seeks him to correct the position of their teeth. Punctual and methodical, he is also a devoted father to his 4 children and loves travelling around the world.
