Filipa got her Master in Dental Medicine from FMDUL in 2011 and began her clinical practice as a general dentist, but quickly realised her passion for helping and treating children, which led her to embark on a solidarity programme in São Tomé, where she spent two months as a volunteer carrying out dental screenings for disadvantaged children.

Back home, she decided to invest in oral health care for the little ones and took several postgraduate courses in Pediatric Dentistry. In order to make some of her patients more comfortable, she travelled to the Complutense University of Madrid, where she completed a course in Conscious Sedation in 2016.

Always focussed on solving the dentofacial problems that many children and adolescents present at an early stage, between 2018 and 2021 Filipa continued to focus on training in the areas of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. She currently devotes her clinical practice exclusively to Pediatric Dentistry and Fixed Orthodontics.

In addition to her passion for dentistry, Filipa loves to travel and explore new cultures, try new flavours and grow plants. She also dedicates her time to volunteering, practicing yoga and cycling as a way to stay active and balanced.

At AM SMILING clinic, she always has a smile to welcome her little patients, as well as being always available to answer questions from parents and children.
