Born in Coimbra, the city of students, from an early age Ana realized that Dental Medicine would be her path. Although she got in the Medicine Faculty of Lisbon at the age of 18, Ana chose to stay in Coimbra and study Dentistry. In 2004, she finished her degree and a year later went to Barcelona, where she lived for a year and did her first postgraduate degree in oral implantology. Already in 2007 and after being back to Portugal, Ana obtains her Master degree at the Portuguese Catholic University.

Throughout all these years, Ana developed her private clinical practice in the areas of oral surgery, implantology, oral rehabilitation and aesthetic dentistry. Along with her clinical development, Ana has always maintained the constant search for more knowledge, taking courses not only in the area of dental medicine but also in the area of business management.

She was a monitor of operative dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine of Coimbra, assistant of Oral Surgery at ICSEM, and later a trainer in implantology and oral rehabilitation courses.

In 2015, she decided to go ahead with her project and set up the AM SMILING clinic, created and developed with the care and dedication of each patient in mind.
